Like all Angullong wines, I was looking forward to checking out this Barbera in the Fossil Hill range. Sure enough, it didn't disappoint.
Bright and crunchy acidity comes bounding towards you from the outset. The acidity seemingly loving the stage but it settles with time. Mediterranean herbs, black earth and tomato bush show their wares behind a core of red plums and red cherries. I keep coming back to the brightness it demonstrates for now but this will be a wine to savour for a number of years yet. Drink with your favourite Italian dishes and a big smile is sure to follow.
