From a low yielding vintage, this is a concentrated and brooding type. There's great width through the mouth and I found the density alluring. Red berry fruits skip about with ease before earthy feels chime in just before a fine spice whips the tail into gear. Soft purple flower perfume makes its presence felt the longer it sits in the glass. A drying finish with tannins edging on being powdery, I could easily have a couple of glasses.
