Of all the interesting wines Brad Hickey produces, I really grew a likening to this Cinsault. Light, bright and fresh, there's so much smash appeal.
For those wine variety boffins out there, Cinsault was married with Pinot Noir to come up with the Pinotage variety so very popular in South Africa.
I would best describe this as a light bodied Grenache just with a bit less spice. Bright in the glass, there's a fabulous dried herb and savoury appeal which draw you closer. Medium bodied, red cherries and pomegranate sizzle. Fine brown spices and a crunchy like acidity scream for large pours and plates of plentiful food. Social isolation bliss.
Drink now to three years.
