A Dolcetto and Sangiovese blend from Aptitude Wines, I'm fixated by the colour that spells good times with flashing neon lights.
A curious type that just works, I dare say you won't see another blend of these two varieties anytime soon.
Silky smooth, there is a savoury drive from the use of whole bunches. Scents of beef stock, porcine mushrooms, char and dusty earth muse with concentrated dark cherry fruit and spiced plums. Fine powdery tannins draw moisture from the mouth ever so slowly with a moreish finish. This is a wine I could see thriving in one of those dimly lit restaurants where everything is cooked over the coals.
