Blackberries and blackberry pie sink deep into dark plums and a ribbon of licorice. It’s inky and brooding with that iodine stamp you get from ironstone soils, all the while earthy with a chocolate brownie richness humming underneath. Dusty tannins steer it home. Classic Barossa Shiraz through and through, this is expressive, generous, and best with a decant now, though it will reward patience in the cellar.
