A fair Chardonnay from a region that is gaining more traction - Tumbarumba.
Oak shows its hand early on here. Coupled with a bright acidity that protrudes a bit too much for mine, the fruit clips the palate and doesn't reach out as much as hoped. White fleshed peaches, lemon curd, cashews and ginger spices work together but I'd just like to see the left hand talk to the right a little more. I reckon it would pass the roast chook test, which is a feather in its cap.
