Apologies for the late review on this. The ripping bargain that is the Cluny was reviewed back in August but I've missed this one. Poor cataloguing, perhaps? Alas, this Zema Estate Cabernet is a beautiful drink and so Coonawarra. Yum!
Blackberries and black currants headline the show, joined by a flicker of barbecued peppers and woodsy spice. There’s tremendous depth here, the fruit beautifully composed and seasoned with cooling mint tones that add lift and freshness. With four years of bottle age already tucked under its belt, this is very well done.
