Everyone has their go-to wines, and I have no doubt that this Zema Estate Cluny Cabernet Merlot is a regular in many households. Ever reliable, what a cracker it is once again with the added bonus of four years aging already under its belt.
A blend of Cabernet and Merlot with a dollop each of Malbec and Cabernet Franc (71/15/7/7), dive into a pool of blackberries, blackcurrants and dark chocolate. A silk sheet is seemingly tossed over the palate with the shimmer of eucalypt, choc-mint, puffs of earth and fine spices. The length just hangs and entices another sip, and naturally, it's hard to resist. For around 20 bucks, woah, welcome to pleasure country.
Drink to ten years.
