If you like a Chardonnay with depth and wisps of caramel, hunt down this Smallwater Estate from the Geographe wine region. I dig it.
I could happily down a few glasses of this. There is a comforting presence about its carry. Lemon juice, oyster shell, Jersey caramel and brioche flank a core of juicy nectarines. Time in oak has imparted delicate cream and vanilla nuances that ooze satisfaction and engage consideration. A wine that hits the relax button, this is very well done.
