It appears the Sauvalanche is over, well, at least it is on my tasting bench. Not that many come through the door, and I'm not at all complaining about it, mind you. This release from Nautilis is pretty tidy. Well played.
Released with a couple of years already under its belt, that's a pleasant change from those super fresh styles, that's for sure. The composure and textural detail, as a result, glistens.
It opens with gooseberry, lemons, green melon, passionfruit sorbet and pineapple sage. Layers isn't usually a word I'd apply to this variety but it is more than apt here. Cinnamon spices draw a long bow to a fabulous finish that drives on. That textural appeal is the shining beacon and I keep coming back to its fine detail. All up, it's a really pleasant drink.
Drink now.
