The Grower GSM from Schwarz Wine Co has had a facelift, and I’m all for it. The refreshed label brings stronger shelf appeal, but rest assured, the wine inside remains just as polished.
This 2023 is not as juicy as the 2022 but carries more of a savoury presence. It opens with cola and sarsaparilla aromas along with dried red petals. It's meaty, that's for sure. Cured meats and roasted meats are all the rage with some red berry and blueberry fruit adding interest. A line of fine spices curls around the mouth to a respectable finish, but what pulls me closer is the flow and soothing presence. It's a really enjoyable drink.
