Part of a set of wines sent by the Geographe Wine Association, it was great to see this Chardonnay from St Aidan with some bottle age as part of the package. An attractive depth had me leaning in a little closer.
Spending ten months on yeast lees, flint and struck match reach out early. Concentrated white fleshed nectarines, barbecued nectarines, lemon zest and a neat grapefruit drive bring the mouth to water. Roasted cashews and a hint of praline with a fine ginger spice wrapping around the palate on close. It's a wine that keeps calling you back for another sip, and it's hard to resist.
