The Click 99 range is sourced from a variety of regions across South Australia. This Merlot hails from the Limestone Coast.
This is a lively thing. A burst of eucalypt and mint rush from the glass. Sweet plums and blackberries are in hot pursuit with dark chocolate and dusty earth. Drying, it saps moisture from the mouth. The tannins are firm and grippy. I circle back to the fruit, and although it's not as dense as I expected, I suspect a little more depth would carry it along a bit better. A fair mid-week drink, it's okay for 20 bucks.
