A bevvy of savoury delights features large. Think cedar, clove, cola and nutmeg. Pretty scents of ripe blackcurrant swoon. The mouth is filled with blackberries, baked blueberries, mulberries, oyster sauce and licorice. On opening, the oak has a vice-like grip but gradually releases its hold with time in the glass as some vanilla rises up. Dusty tannins coat the mouth on a moreish finish. Above all, it's the sheet of consistency that flows throughout that has me leaning in. Well played.
