Hutton Vale Farm Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

This Hutton Vale Farm Cabernet is an excellent wine but it needs time to see it at its best. I came back to this after several hours in the glass and we were in business. A day on and it was even better. A keeper, tuck it away and you'll reap the rewards.

Fierce III Dry Rosé 2023

A Rosé that throws a darker shade in the glass. I don't mind that to be honest given most Rosés are now the same pale salmon appearance. Like Aldi, it's good different.

Hutton Vale Farm Shiraz 2019

Curvacious, I'm a big fan of the shape of this wine. Not shy on generosity, hold this for a few more years to see it at its best.

Yalumba Vine Vale Grenache 2022

Sexy as always, this is always my favourite Grenache in the Yalumba range.

Yalumba Tri-Centenary Grenache 2021

Planted in 1889, the Tri-Centenary block has been around for three centuries, hence the name. A Grenache like no other, the weight and complexity don't match the bright colour in the glass. This is an impressive wine.

Yalumba Bush Vine Grenache 2021

Ever reliable, this is a great Grenache to wrap your lips around. A glass of medium-bodied delish, some of the fruit comes from 100+ year old vines. Value much?

Lou Miranda Fierce III Sagrantino 2020

From the Miranda sisters, of Lou Miranda Barossa fame, comes this muscular and strong-framed Sagrantino.

Lou Miranda 1907 Centenarian Old Vine Shiraz 2018

From Centenarian vines planted in 1907, this Shiraz from Lou Miranda is in better shape and demonstrates more balance than its sibling, the Centenarian Shiraz Mourvedre 2018.

Lou Miranda Centenarian Old Vine Shiraz Mourvedre 2018

Rich and dense, this is a sledgehammer. Loaded with oak, tuck it away for a while and watch it emerge. Its boisterous persona is fit for sipping during a chilly night as the rain taps on the roof.

Yalumba The Steeple Shiraz 2019

I can't stop sipping this. Actually, substitute sipping with drinking. Just wow. Super silky with delicate spices, feed this Yalumba The Steeple to me via a drip.

Pewsey Vale Prima Riesling 2022

The first harvested fruit from this vineyard walks the tightrope of sweetness and acid with respectability. Nicely balanced, it is bright and expressive.

Pewsey Vale Contours Museum Release Riesling 2013

Gloriously golden in the glass, the beauty of age radiates through this museum release Riesling, yet there is a beguiling freshness about its carry.

After Five Wine Co Montepulciano 2021

Staining depth. A wine that really digs its claws in, this a very tidy expression of Montepulciano from the southern Barossa.

After Five Wine Co Serata 2019

The blending of unlikely bedfellows Shiraz, Montepulciano and Aglianico (50/29/21) has delivered an absolute treat. A generous wine with a stunning savoury edge, be sure to decant to see it at its best.

Barossa Bourne Old Vine Grenache 2022

Put this Barossa Bourne Old Vine Grenache in the old boot category. Reliable and comfortable, keep it within reach and it won't let you down.

Barossa Bourne Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

A little firm on opening, give this Barossa Cabernet a little time to cool its heels.

Planta Circa Ancestor Grenache 2021

This Grenache from Purple Hands is a sheer delight to drink. Coming from Ancestor Vines planted in 1880, resistance is futile.
