Soul Growers Gobell Single Vineyard Shiraz 2017

Of the single vineyard wines in the Soul Growers range, give me this Gobell every time. It's a peach.

Singlefile Single Vineyard Frankland River Shiraz 2018

Veneers of pleasure come naturally with these Singlefile wines. There's certainly plenty to sink your teeth into here as well.

Soul Growers Hampel Single Vineyard Shiraz 2017

The Hampel vineyard is a low yielding site in Kalimna. There's a lovely elegance to this Shiraz - a fabulous wine.

Atze's Corner The Mob Montepulciano 2017

Only 250 dozen were produced from this limited edition release. Named after a rogue group of sheep which snuck into the vineyard, "The Mob" came close to destroying it. Three years later the first crop produced this impressive wine.

Luke Lambert Crudo Shiraz 2017

A ripping medium bodied Shiraz for around $25. Each vintage sells out super fast - it's easy to see why.

Rochford Estate Chardonnay 2018

A lazy lunch and Chardonnay was calling me. This was the only one listed by the glass but I knew I was in good hands - I've known Rochford to reliably produce the goods previously.

Willow Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

A pretty expression of Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir. Dainty on its feet, a ballet dancer of sorts as it glides its way through the mouth with absolute ease. Poise and precision all the rage.

Levantine Hill Samantha's Paddock Mélange Traditionnel 2015

A sublime rendition of the old Bordeaux blend classic.

A gorgeous Chardonnay from the hands of Geraldine McFaul. With arms flung open, this is a welcoming and embracing wine with uber cool swagger.

Singlefile Single Vineyard Family Reserve Chardonnay 2018

A concentrated Chardonnay with a clenched fist feel. Give it some time to reveal its true self as the door opens gracefully.

Funky town Mataro. Whole bunches (84%), wild fermented, nine months in French oak (5% new), not fined or filtered.

Yelland and Papps Second Take Shiraz 2018

Bunchy and damn tasty. Barossa Shiraz done a bit differently with the pleasure factor cranked high.

Singlefile Tempranillo 2018

This is a beauty. Tempranillo leaping from the glass in search of an embrace.

Yelland and Papps Second Take Roussanne 2018

They say beauty is only skin deep. Take a look at this and you see a wine that's cloudy - Perry and ginger beer like. Take a whiff and sip and you'll be grinning from ear to ear.

Balgownie Estate Black Label Pinot Noir 2017

Quite an easy Pinot to kick back with from the Yarra's Balgownie Estate.

Singlefile Run Free Shiraz 2017

Give this a breath of air and happiness laps at your feet.

Les Peyrautins Chardonnay 2017

For a Chardonnay under 20 bucks, there's plenty of interest to coax you on board. A fab buy.

Singlefile Great Southern Cabernet Merlot 2017

Twenty-five bucks for this just seems too cheap. I said the same with the last vintage too. Well presented in a sturdy bottle, it's bright hue glistens. I feel fancy holding this.

Flametree Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2017

This soon to be released Cabernet-Merlot blend from Flametree has some swagger about it. It's as though it wants to be a street tough with a gutsy feel but its soft inner presence is what charms.

Juniper Estate The Crossing Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2017

A tidy blend with some small percentages of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot making their voices heard.

Wangolina Tempranillo 2018

Pizza, pasta and Tempranillo - a winning combo. A  tidy wine to sit beside your meal. No fuss, no nonsense. Solid drinking.

Les Peyrautins Syrah Grenache 2017

A well-priced import from Vintage House that possesses a respectable slurp factor.

Huntington Estate Vintage Fortified Shiraz 2013

There's power and ripe fruit awaiting your attention here. A fortified that slips down all too easily.

Bird on a Wire Pinot Noir 2018

A clever Yarra Valley Pinot Noir that took a little time to get moving. Once the rubber hit the road, there was some serious momentum.

Yelland and Papps Second Take Grenache 2018

Oh, I love this wine. Feed it to me via a drip. The press release says, "New world wine done the old world way." That nails it really.

Bird on a Wire Rosé 2018

Welcome to the debut Bird on a Wire Rosé, and what a mighty fine entrance it has made.

Logan Wines Weemala Pinot Noir 2018

A pretty simple Pinot Noir from Orange for 20 bucks.
