Pinot walking with its chest puffed out. A confident type striding to its own beat.
I was expecting a more delicate wine to be honest. The wines from Levantine Hill often exude class. There's power here. Confidence with grip you could say. It's firm and dry with persistent fruit surging forward. Autumn like characters, macerated and sour cherries, dried herb, fine spices with licks of meatiness and char. The more I look at it the more plum characters nudge their way forward. It's smart with an almost rustic appeal. A sip slow and embrace kinda Pinot.
