Biscay Road Chardonnay 2025

I have to admit, Chardonnay from the Barossa Valley doesn't get me enthused and this release from Biscay Road doesn't alter that.

I find it to be weighty, rounded and flabby with a warm finish. It smells of and tastes of bruised golden apple. The white fleshed stonefruit, creamy drive and nuttiness we have come to know from many modern Chardonnays are not seeping through this example's veins. I gave it a couple of looks, but I struggled to come around. If you are hunting around the range, I'd happily recommend the Riesling.
