The bottle pic shown is indicative of the label. A Cabernet Franc pic was used in its place - this new release is not listed on the website as yet, nor do I know the RRP.
This is the second release of this wine, which I find interesting, particularly as there appears to be a general shift away from Merlot. All that aside, give it a little more bottle age and I reckon it will settle nicely into itself.
Seeing ten months in French oak, dark chocolate and after-dinner mint aromas lift up from the glass, while blackberries, blackcurrants and red currants provide a pleasant fruit core. Tomato paste and blackberry leaf add a savoury, leafy edge that gives some extra character. There’s enough fruit and structure here to suggest that time in bottle will be beneficial. All up, it's tidy stuff.
