Bright, vibrant and wonderfully approachable, this Saddler's Creek Single Suitcase Sangiovese is ready to get the party started.
The Single Suitcase range pays tribute to the immigrants who arrived in Australia during the 1950s with a suitcase in one hand and a fistful of hope in the other. There’s something fitting about that spirit in this wine.
Bright in the glass, it delivers juicy cherries and cherry pips, with flecks of tomato bush savouriness adding a distinctly Italianate edge. Fine, grippy and dusty tannins give the wine shape, while vibrant acidity keeps everything fresh and energetic.
There’s nothing complicated here. Just delicious, juicy fruit, savoury character and terrific drinkability.
It would happily take a chill, but its greatest strength is its sheer approachability.
All up, it's a nicely done, drink now expression of Sangiovese.
