A rock solid example of Mudgee Shiraz. Not a showy wine, just a stand and deliver type that walks comfortably in its own skin.
Baked blueberries, ripe strawberries and plums stride confidently across the palate, joined by a curious flicker of boot polish. It sees 19 months in American oak and is not as heavy as you might expect. Leaning more towards medium-bodied territory, gentle waves of spice build moreishness. Then come the tannins. Robust, chewy and drying, they roll out to a persistent finish. There is no showboating here, just a rock-solid Shiraz that walks comfortably in its own skin. Tick!
