A Cabernet with a big frame and plenty of character.
Dark chocolate and crushed ant (would you believe) make an appearance, joined by soft spices that gently roll through the palate. It fills the mouth with confidence, bringing capsicum and passata into the mix before tomato bush leafiness and dried herbs add a savoury, earthy edge. There’s plenty of substance here, but the wine carries its size with a degree of softness rather than brute force. And this has some living ahead of it. Give it time and it should continue to evolve, with the frame providing plenty of fuel for the long road ahead.
