Usher Tinkler Wines Devil's Kitchen Pinot Noir 2024

This is a belter of a Pinot from a place you'd least expect. Named the Devil's Kitchen due to the numerous clones that have been blended, you'd be hard-pressed to knock this release from Usher Tinkler Wines.

The Hunter Valley was the original home of Pinot Noir in Australia - a fact many don't realise. The Hunter River Burgundy blend (Shiraz and Pinot Noir) has become trendy once more in recent years and much of the valley's Pinot can be found in these blends, so it is rare to see a 100% Pinot in the district.

Red fruits reign supreme as they flow with ease coating every crevice of the mouth. It's a joyous, juicy and excitable wine with fine flickers of spice delicately placed on a long and moreish finish. Wonderfully weighted and balanced, get your food match right and it elevates the experience furthermore - I'm on sizzling Mongolian 5+ Wagyu for the win.
