Jeff Byrne now makes these Angullong Wines, and things have certainly stepped up a notch. This Chardonnay is quite a serious wine. Texture has been built into the frame with better new oak making an impact. Plentiful white fleshed stonefruit and lemony appeal sit at the core of the wine with a delicate nuttiness rippling through to a long finish. The lees stirring and handling ensures the tonic like textural feels reach all corners of the mouth. And that length! Very well done. Pour me another.
