Long-time friends Louella Matthews (Sommelier) and Nadja Wallington (Winemaker) have joined forces to deliver two wines using their experiences and perspectives from two sides of the hospitality scene. Expression was the aim and they've nailed it.
A field blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Arneis and Viognier, it sees skin contact to build texture and interest. Fresh with floral aromas, there is a magnetism about the grip and tension it delivers. Fine slivers of ginger are the highlight with some biscuity appeal. The more I look at it, the more I'm intrigued. It was a shame I couldn't spend more time absorbing it during a quick tasting at the cellar door. In all, it's a wine made to be enjoyed with food and it will certainly match an array of cuisine.
