I tasted this at the cellar door with owner James Robson and winemaker Luke Steele. I only wish I could have spent more time with it. Alas, what I did see at the time was quite fantastic. Biscuity was the first descriptor that leapt to mind. Nougat sways throughout with a delightful concentrated peach backbone. The good old country bakery vanilla slice shows its plentiful hand too. Made from two puncheons (one new and one old), it draws out interest, but that length...! But given its tension, hold this. As Wilson Philips once famously said, "Hold on for one more day."
