This Sauv Blanc from Ross Hill Wines is treated like Chardonnay in the winery. Made for interest, it is certainly a food-friendly wine.
It sits on solids and has its lees stirred to build that complexity. Quite savoury, it still shows the usual suspects of the variety in the form of green capsicum, green melon, some leafiness and lemongrass. A rush of passionfruit comes late but it's the texture, body and weight that makes this appealing.
