Soul Growers Persistence Grenache 2009

The inaugural release of the Persistence label is an alluring and engaging Grenache from the Barossa.

A little sweetness and jelly babies picked up on the nose. Some oak then sweeps in with the serious business of black fruits, sweet plum and dark spice.

Soft and luscious flavours arouse the palate. As all washes to the back some tasty spice raises its head. Mouth warmth is lovely which lurks with the intent of suggesting another sip. It didn't take me long to give in...

Alcohol is high (15.5%) and certainly does not take centre stage.

This is seriously good Grenache people!
