Angove Family Crest Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

A strong Cabernet game played here.

The fruit comes from McLaren Vale vineyards in the north (Blewitt Springs) and south (Sellicks Hill).

Lashings of mint and chocolate, liberal use of French oak to good effect (new and second use for 12 months) and what seems to be handfuls of blackcurrant fruit.

Soft in the mouth and smooth to finish, drink now or cellar for the medium term. Pass the roast lamb please.

Very good.
