Chardonnay is absolutely thriving in Orange, and if you can't get your feet on the ground, grab some of this Canobolas 2024 - it's a masterclass from the comfort of your armchair. Focused, measured, layered and pure, this is an excellent example of what the district does best.
Lemon juice and lemon sorbet roll out the welcome mat as yellow grapefruit sizzles. Layers of interest unfurl in the form of custard powder and vanilla slice adding French pastry feels. White fleshed stonefruits plant themselves on the mid-palate offering some density and well-handled concentration. Sift a little further to find nougat, almond meal and a neat shimmer of praline to pique your interest. Lemon meringue hooks back around providing a credible salute on close. The length caps off an incredible wine that deserves all the praise that is heaped its way. Woah! Go here.
