From some of the oldest vines in the Orange wine region perched 820 metres above, this silky and seductive Canobolas Wines Syrah will have you floating on a cloud. What a piece of cool climate magic this is.
The entry and exit are sublime with its class etched throughout. Dark cherries and cherry pips caught my attention early with dense plums that are handled with delicacy. Char, pan juices and smokey steak deliver a meaty presence and offer plenty to ponder, yet they complement the fruit beautifully. Sheets of fine spices add further detail with the shimmer of a granite minerality rippling along. Sip slow and savour, this is quite magnificent.
