A natural wine made with 'nothing but grapes', lovers of texture will be sure to enjoy this funky little adventure from Adelaide Hills producer Mt Bera.
Organically and biodynamically farmed, it's orange and golden in the glass and looks a bit like mandarin juice. Cloudy and bottled without filtration, there is a quiet hush over its complexity with a feathering of texture dusted through the mouth. It feels not dissimilar to Mediterranean tonic but also evokes some furry peach skin feels. Scents of peach tea follow through to the mouth adding to pie apple, poached pear, yellow peach and mandarin peel as a very fine spice skips along slowly. That textural feel really hugs the finish and stays on much longer than expected offering plenty to chew over. This is the kind of hipster juice the folk in Melbourne's Fitzroy and Brunswick would lap up.
