The debut Mencia release from Mt Bera's organic and biodynamic vineyards has made a notable entrance. Mencia has kicked some goals in the Adelaide Hills and here is another to add to your black book.

An unmissable red apple crunch speaks to me and has me leaning in just a little more - great stuff and a fabulous varietal trait.
Black cherries, plums and a mulberry smudge drive the fruit profile before a dusting of dried herbs, tar and some earthiness swoop. Bright acid elevates the finish to have the last word suggesting it's time to pass the plates for some tapas. A respectable debut release for sure.
