Another beauty rolling off the Jericho conveyor belt, this Jericho Bracken Vineyard Shiraz offers a well-balanced wine with plenty of flavour. Once again, the level of consistency across the range is more than respectable.
Dense fruit is the go featuring satsuma plums, mulberries and baked blueberries. Some meatiness in the form of pan juices peers through with dark chocolate, hazelnuts and cedar adding some savoury input. The tannins are plump and dry out ever so slowly and seemingly don't disolve - the length is impressive. Oak plays its hand without being overbearing, but I keep coming back to the quality. Consistent and ever reliable, these Jericho wines are worth getting hold of. Great stuff.
