From 34 year old vines with 60% MV6 and 40% 777 clones in the ground, swirl the glass to see orange peel, twigs, pine needles and tilled undergrowth emerge. Red fruits drive through the core with strawberries and a suggestion of plums with a fine rub of exotic spices to keep things moving. Some sandalwood rises up late but the curvaceous power is what has me fixated. A wonderful expression of Pinot Noir from the Orange region.
