Bimbadgen Sparkling Semillon NV

 

An easy-going party starter, this Sparkling Semillon from Bimbadgen has fabulous crowd-pleasing appeal. For 22 bucks, there is a fair dose of interest too.

It kicks off with white fleshed stonefruit, lemons and lemon curd before getting a little more fancy to show pastry and Portuguese tart. Although it pulls up a little short on close, its cleansing palate is a neat sign-off for a very pleasant drink.
