Kilikanoon Covenant Shiraz 2013

I received a stack of samples from Kilikanoon not too long ago. They are wines of intrigue and the quality continues to impress with every bottle I open. Here we go again...

A generous yet soft Shiraz which leaves you wanting for nothing - except another glass perhaps. A blend of five Clare Valley vineyards, it spent 18 months in French oak.

Dark fruit, pan juices, saturated dark plums and vanilla. It's rich with some mulberry fruit sweetness integrated beautifully with fine spices and dark chocolate. Wave after wave of depth rolls through with ease. I'd happily recommend this to Shiraz lovers.

Drink now but it will cellar for up to ten years.
