Di Giorgio Family Wines Chardonnay 2016

I made a note when I was in Coonawarra a month ago to MC the VIP tent at the Vignerons Cup race day that despite the region being known for its reds, specifically Cabernet, that there are some impressive Rieslings and Chardonnays around. Case in point here.

Gee I enjoyed this.

White peach and mid palate creaminess sit at the core. Built around it is a squeeze of lemon, some nuttiness, even of whiff of pineapple husk to add further intrigue. The mouth is coated with well weighted fruit with a delicious length to close. Yes please!

I'd happily go back here again. Great drinking for the money too for Chardy fans.

Drink now to six years.

92/100
