Schild Estate Pramie Special Release Shiraz 2013

Named Pramie (prounouced prem-ee-er) which means 'premium' or 'reward' in German, this Special Release is an acknowledgment to the family's heritage.

The last time I had a look at it was back in 2015 when it was just released. Two years on and it's s still shining like a diamond.

Time in bottle has seen it take shape with greater softness and those savoury characters standing tall.

A whiff of camphor and something akin to nanna's cupboard with dusty earth for good measure get things going. Dried sage and thyme, cloves and dark plum drive through seductively. Elegant throughout, vanilla from the oak chimes in late. There's nothing shy about the delivery yet there's plenty of satisfaction too.

Drinking beautifully now and it will continue to do so up to eight years.

95/100 - Excellent
