Redman Wines Cabernet Merlot 2014

Always a top performer and great value again. The fruit comes from the family's 40 year old vines and spent 18 months in French oak before being bottled in February 2016.

Red plums, dark berries and oak are all entwined beautifully. Depth to sink your hands into but there's a brightness which offsets it just as well. The longer it sat in the glass and again tasting the next day, it looked better again with pretty violet aromas come to the fore as time passed. Deliciously medium bodied with a soft and moreish finish, aging prior to release is the Redman way. They've delivered a ripper again.

Drink to ten years.
