Chardonnay is winemaker Peter McGlashan's thing. Here's another beauty from his ever consistent production line of Chardy quality.
The fruit was hand-picked, destemmed and pressed. A portion went to French barriques with the remainder to stainless steel.
Dripping in white stone fruit, lemon juice and curd, it skips to a neat rhythm which a delightful presence in the mouth. The second day of tasting saw grapefruit enter the fray - nice! What I did like here too was the generosity on offer. Well managed acid is preceded by a subtle lick of buttered toast. Drinkability is high. Great stuff!
Drink now to six years.
