Gemtree Uncut Shiraz 2013

Man this sits on some broad shoulders. An iron fist in a velvet glove perhaps.

Chocolate, dark berries, cherries... This is Cherry Ripe all the way. A cracking wine for the asking price, the delivery is generous with supple appeal. A suggestion of methanol but 16 months in French oak adds a creamy nuance which rolls through well. Well weighted, it sits like melted chocolate would. One of those sip forever type of wines. Tremendous value too. I expected it to be over the $30 mark so I was pleasantly surprised to see it shoots for only $25

Beat the bargain drum. This is a beauty.

Very good.
