Whilst Cabernet is not the main variety on the Granite Belt, some impressive '12s have really stood up to be counted. And I reckon this effort is probably the best of the ones I've had a look at.
Layers of chocolate, black fruits, char, and smoked meat greet you. There's a delicious concentration of fruit which fills out and punches on. Softening tannins have a powder like grip and sit nicely lingering long into the night.
Yet to hit its peak, I reckon 10-15 years in the cellar is certainly not out of the question.
A ripper!
