Cook's Lot Handpicked Allotment #3 Chardonnay 2013

There's a simplicity to this wine which is quite attractive yet it also asks some subtle questions. Sure it's been wild yeast fermented with some barrel work but the end result doesn't clout you in the face.

Peachy and stone fruit flavours skip about without being heavy or bogged down by oak. There's a lightness to it but then there's a creamy depth with some complexity for interest. Then come a good length where some melon fruit re-emerges.

Age for the medium term but she's good to go now. I'd tear into again given the chance.
