This arrived with in a bottle with a crown seal - a change from previous vintages as per the picture above. Curiously, it is a table wine not a sparkling. Despite the interesting choice of closure, it has shelf appeal but would no doubt cause some confusion.
Baked berry tart, raspberry jam on toast, sweet Grenache fruit is complimented by the savoury presence of Mourvedre. Smooth delivery with some spice rolling through but the sweetness has a tackiness about it. It was too sweet though. I wouldn't be able to finish a glass if I were to be offered it.
