Shottesbrooke Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2016

If there was an ambassador for Sauvignon Blanc I'd be very much closer to the bottom of the list than the top. But wines like this challenge my belief in this variety. I do like Sauv with some barrel work admittedly, but this has none and it's gleaming! Super fresh, it bursts out of the blocks straight outta the Adelaide Hills.

Tropical fruit explodes from the glass. Pineapple and passionfruit galore. Fresh peas and cut herbs seem so distant but there's a faint whiff to acknowledge their presence. A squeeze of lemon isn't far from the action either. Clean and crisp to taste, that citrusy fleck reappears in the mouth leaving a distinctive tang as the tropical fruit runs riot.

Ring the bargain bell!
