Gundog Estate Markman's Shiraz 2015

I tasted this alongside another cool climate Shiraz 2015 - it just so happened the other won a trophy at a capital city wine show for best Shiraz. This Gundog left it for dead.

Deliciously medium bodied, all the red things come out to play: Red fruits, red cherries, red berries. Aromas of pretty red florals too.

Sensationally soft in delivery, the fruit slowly unfurls without fuss whilst presenting delicately. Pan juices add another level of sophistication. Peppery spice teases through to a long, fine and silky finish.

Not many sample bottles are emptied into my belly, I'm pleased this one was though.

Built for the long hall, it's drinking well now but will continue to get even better over the long term.

94/100 - Very good+
