Levantine Hill Rosé 2016

A thinkers type Rosé. Made from Cabernet fruit with a splash of Pinot, it's quite heavy in the mouth. Cabernet just doesn't hit the mark in the Rose stakes in my book, but the quality of the winemaking here cannot be denied.

Cranberries, rhubarb, freeze dried raspberry and dark cherries make up the fruit profile. There's a fair phenolic grip with all wrapped up by a dainty peppery spice. Delivery is on the heavier side which ensures this is more of a food type wine than sips in the sun. Take it or leave it.
