Judges at the Mudgee Wine Show were given a sneak peek at this and it won the Best Semillon Trophy - the future looks bright. Winemaker Jacob Stein also took away the Winemaker of the Year Award. To cap it off, Robert Stein won the most successful exhibitor award.
Focused fruit and acid delivers a Semillon on point. Key lime pie, lime splice and liberal splashes of lime juice all peak in unison providing a cut line of acidity and delicious drive. This is certainly a wine I'd love to see in several years to track its development.
