Scorpo Pinot Noir 2018

I was sent on a mission into retail land to find a good Pinot. I spied this Scorpo and tucked it under my wing. I've read much about these wines but yet to have the pleasure of its company. Well, thank you very much, the pleasure was all mine...

A wonderful Pinot from Victoria's Mornington Peninsula region. Some more grunt than I suspected, but it was elegant and sleek all at the same time. Blood plums, earthy kick and sour red cherries early. A little twiggy too as fine spices wrap themselves around the fruit snuggling up tight all the way to a long and seemingly never-ending finish. A touch of warmth to close, but in all, this is a terrific Pinot. I'd go back given the chance.
